I have quickly built up a good client base with the skills and training from Scottish Massage Schools and through various training development courses and the experience from regularly seeing over 20 clients a week. Trained to Advanced Remedial and Sports Massage Level (DARM). School massage Therapy organisation. Membership number 2998.
Paula has expanded her knowledge and skills by obtaining the Advanced Diploma in Remedial Massage in August 2018. Massage at this level involves a more detailed assessment of specific joints and the use of a wider range of techniques to treat conditions, injuries and imbalances. Diagnostic skills, re-alignment of the spine and other joints, alongside soft tissue and massage techniques make a precise and effective treatment.
Some of the issues and conditions Paula has helped to-date are: injuries to shoulders, lower backs and pelvis, ankles and ribs. Post-operative rehabilitation of shoulders and knees. Headaches and Migraines, Repetitive Strain Injury, imbalances and postural difficulties through pain, genetic difficulties, occupational over use and supporting conditions such arthritis.
About 80% of clients come for remedial massage although many clients enjoy ten minutes at the end of the treatment to be filled with more holistic techniques and some opt for combi-treatments; massage and another modality: Reflexology, Facials, Indian Head Massage.
Working from both home in Penicuik and the Newington area, offering both Saturday and Evening appointments.
It is important that you also stretch at home and clients are given advice on what would be suitable and given handouts.
I am unable to offer mobile massage where a couch is required but do visit people in their own homes for seated massage to help with disability or conditions in the Loanhead and Penicuik area.
